245D Waivered Services
Accra is a Basic 245D licensed provider of Respite, Personal Supports, Homemaker, Adult Companion and Night Supervision Services. In each service, you select a trusted, qualified worker, suited for your needs. Your assigned Accra 245D Service Coordinator will work with you, and your county case manager, to set-up and administer your Basic 245D Waivered Services, while ensuring that all workers are properly trained. Accra also administers Caregiver Living Expenses.
Respite is a short-term care service intended to provide a break, or relief, to an individual’s primary caregiver(s). Respite may be provided in the individual’s, or the Respite provider’s, home. This service is available under various payment options including, Medical Assistance Home and Community Based Services (waiver programs), and private pay.
Personal Supports is non-medical care, assistance and supervision provided in the individual’s home or community. This one-on-one service is intended to increase one’s independence and involvement with community activities. Personal Supports is available to individuals on the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver.
Homemaker Services range from light household cleaning and laundry to assistance with home management and/or activities of daily living. Home Management includes meal prep, shopping for food, clothes and supplies, simple household repairs and arranging for transportation. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) include bathing, toileting, grooming, eating, dressing and assistance walking. Homemaker Services is available under various payment options including, Medical Assistance Home and Community Based Services (waiver programs) and private pay.
Adult Companion Services is non-medical care, supervision and socialization provided to an individual over the age of 18. Adult Companion Services help an individual to gain more independence, through building skills and accessing their community. Adult Companion Services is available to individuals on the Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) Waiver.
Night Supervision Services is overnight assistance and monitoring provided by an awake staff in the individual’s own home. Examples of Night Supervision tasks include reinforcing independent living skills, monitoring for safety, or assisting with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). Night Supervision Services are available to individuals on either the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver or the Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) Waiver.
Caregiver Living Expenses is a reimbursement of certain expenses (Rent and Food) incurred by a caregiver who living in the same household as an individual receiving waivered services, and who is also providing an approved service. Caregiver Living Expenses is available to individuals on either the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver or the Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) Waiver.
