Program Director - Metro

The Program Director will supervise the delivery of home care services and the assigned personnel in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area. This position will be responsible for directing and overseeing the delivery of care under Accra licensures and monitoring outcomes for skilled and non-skilled services in the clients’ homes. This includes but is not limited to: RN/Case Managers, LPNs, Home Health Aides, Support staff and personal care assistants (PCAs).

This position will also be responsible for coordinating the utilization of outside services such as pharmacies, medical laboratories, and durable medical equipment suppliers to meet client needs. In addition, demonstrate fiscal accountability by monitoring operations to ensure compliance with Accra Care, Inc. policies and procedures, state licensure and regulations, Medicaid and Medicare standards, as well as state reimbursement regulations under MDH & DHS.

Essential Functions
Duties would include but not limited to:

  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, and oversee the delivery and outcomes of required healthcare-related services and training programs on a routine basis in cooperation with Accra Management; monitoring both skilled and non-skilled home care services.
  • Provide or Coordinate clinical teaching and conduct performance monitoring, identify and reduce risks.
  • Participate in Leadership meetings.
  • Facilitate communication and serve as a liaison between and among professional and direct care staff, family and/or guardians, and community medical providers and professional consultants in cooperation with Accra management.
  • Directly coordinate the implementation, coordination, maintenance, evaluation, and termination of care plan and services, analyses outcomes, OASIS and ICD9/10, medical records, and physician orders.
  • Follows agency process to assure clinical service audits or other quality assurance process to ensure the agency’s ability to meet or exceed local, state, and federal clinical regulatory requirements.
  • Chair committees as appropriate, e.g., safety, infection control, and incident review committees.
  • Serve as a role model for agency personnel with respect to demonstrating active listening skills and good professional boundaries in all client and vendor interactions.

Non-Essential Functions

Service Coordinator - New Ulm

Staff Accountant - Hopkins

Accra is seeking a Staff Accountant to become an integral part of the Accra team.

General Description
This position focuses on general accounting support under the direction of the Financial Controller. The duties include, but are not limited to, processing AP, AR, Payroll and other duties

Essential Functions
Duties would include but not limited to:

  1. AP Processing:
    • Receive and process vendor invoices. Process vendor checks in accordance with established operating procedures.
    • Process Accra credit card accounts, ensuring that appropriate employees have cards to support their work activities. Reconcile credit cards to maintain appropriate/approved balances.
    • Create new corporate vendors as needed in MS Dynamics. Manage vendor files including W-9’s.
    • Research and investigate invoice and payment questions.
    • Prepare and submit annual 1099-MISC forms accurately and timely.
    • Reconcile vendor and general ledger accounts as needed or assigned.
    • At the direction of the manager, participate in the completion of year-end financial processing activities.
    • Document payables processes including entering and troubleshooting transactions.
    • Complete other related duties as assigned.
  2. AR Processing:
    • Process DHS payments and other miscellaneous checks.
    • Reconcile all cash receipts with bank transactions on a regular basis.
    • Acknowledge and approve check deposits.
    • Research and investigate all miscellaneous cash receipt transactions.
    • Complete other related duties as assigned.
  3. Payroll Supports:
    • Assist payroll team with timesheet entries as needed
    • Cut physical payroll checks.
    • Transmit payroll wage files, and process payroll taxes.
    • Complete other related duties as assigned
  4. Other Duties:
    • Provide supporting documents for financial statements and reports.
    • Improve and document AP, AR and Cash Receipts processes and reporting.
    • Train peers how to navigate online credit card portal, and be a resource for ongoing questions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Must be familiar with basic accounting practices and principles, including general ledger functions, monthly closing and preparation of financial reports using industry standard software.

Payroll Tax Accountant - Hopkins

Accra is a 501.c.3 non-profit home health care organization. Service Management Group (SMG) is the administrative company of Accra which provides administrative, payroll and related services to an employee group of more than 4500 individuals including a Fiscal Management Support (FMS) Agency. A FMS agency provides fiscal support to individual and families who qualify for Medical Assistance through the State of MN. Fiscal support includes budgeting, reviewing and approving timecards and expenses, and filing the necessary paperwork with the IRS or State of MN.

Essential Functions
Duties would include but not limited to:

  • Monitor, manage and reconcile payroll taxes at the employer and employee level. Includes reconciliation to the general ledger as well as to ADP Tax Service reports, preparation, and ensuring compliance.
  • Part of a team responsible for preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 5700 employees
  • Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings by tax service provider
  • Reconcile cash activity to Payroll and ADP Tax Services and In-House Services
  • Responsible for Quarterly and Yearly Tax reporting with ADP and in-house
  • Reconcile Payroll reports to 941s and W-2s
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll reporting
  • Reconcile payroll taxes and wages to general ledger and make necessary entries
  • Create quarterly payroll accruals
  • Gather and report requested data to internal and external recipients

Qualified Professional/ RN Case Manager for PCA Services

Our mission is to provide individualized services and supports to people with disabilities and older adults living at home and in their community. Accra Care provides Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Choice and Home Health services, and is also a Fiscal Support Entity (FSE). Accra Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team of compassionate professionals to coordinate PCA Choice services for clients in the metro area.

General Description
The RN QP is responsible for setting up PCA services for clients with complex health needs as determined by their PCA assessment. The QP develops the client care plan with input from the Responsible party and assessment document. They may be asked to assist with medical trainings if needed. They also serve as a resource for the client, RP or PCA on appropriate program use and other services to help meet the health and safety needs of the client in the community. The RN QP may assist in training, supervision and evaluation of services, as well as ensuring quality assurance of the PCA services at Accra Care. They are expected to stay abreast of current policies and changes to the program, and to participate in committees and meetings to enhance their knowledge of services beneficial to their clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred, accompanied by nursing experience working in a hospital or home-health care setting. Experience with both adult and pediatric care a plus.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota
